I am not sure that this trend is really going to catch but I have forsaken the wonderful creamy hint of cocoa in my Nutella and the beautiful aroma of a toasted cinnamon bagel for the earthy goodness of a bowl of Oatmeal.

My start with oatmeal was innocent enough with only one envelope of plain oatmeal but over the last two weeks I have expanded to two envelopes of apple and cinnamon mmmmm good.

Years ago as a kid I would eat oatmeal and hate it and throw it on the floor but I think that would be quite unacceptable in this office, well maybe a little more acceptable than other places I guess I will have to try and find out sometime.

Oh, and one more thing. January is Oatmeal month. I am not sure if oatmeal month is a creation of Quaker Oats or if it is actually decreed by some government

Did you know that if you just get regular rolled oats and add boiling water to them they will actually turn into oatmeal? I did not either. WOW this oatmeal is a fantastic new creation. I can’t wait to learn some more

I was surfing around and came across an article by Seth Godin that talks of image versus substance in marketing. Seth’s Blog: When the story doesn’t match gives us a very good way to look at the issue of how we picture a product because of the companies image but, I just had to think about the coffee for a minute.

I love coffee, and as I type this I am listening to the fancy Melita coffee pot finishing it’s brewing of my Tim Hortons coffee. I love my coffee strong and black and although I know a lot of people go to Tim Hortons and order a double double – that is double cream and double sugar I tend to love the taste of the coffe itself black.

While I may think a fresh brewed Tim Hortons coffee is the greatest coffee anywhere I do occasionally go to StarBucks and just now and again with this caffeine strong coffee I will think about how this is the greatest tasting coffee. The trouble is that the taste just like anything that is only good occasionally wears very quickly. I can never have Starbucks coffee two days in a row.

Gotta run the coffee is done!

Yesterday was a huge food day. I started with chocolate, had eggs and bacon for breakfast, then chocolate, then more chocolate, then a couple Rye and cokes, then a big dinner, more dinner and finally I finished it off with a big peice of Blueberry pie with Cool Whip.

Not sure why I feel bloated today but I think I am going to blame the Cool Whip

Katy did not believe this but the science is unmistakable. Tracker Trail – Fire – Can of Coke and a chocolate bar.

If you are ever caught in the wild with no fire and have both a pop can and some chocolate (of course this is only theory, I could never waste chocolate even to save my life) then you too can save yourself by making a fire.

Now all you would need is to hunt down a chocolate bunny in the wild so you could feed yourself after using up the chocolate to make that fire.

I have forsaken the mighty bagel and Nutella for Captain Kirks favorite.

That’s right I have made fibre my friend by bringing a big box of Presidents Choice brand Fibre First…the same thing as All Bran. The only issues are my daily supply of Milk and sneaking into bathrooms to poo.

I chose the Presidents Choice by carefully studying the packaging and it ends up this brand has a whopping 13 grams of fibre for every half cup of cereal.
