My unnatural obsession with Chips will kick into high gear today. The first season of the great 70′s show Chips is finally out on DVD today. The story begine this show for me may answer some questions.
Back a few years ago I would get up to feed our babies in the middle of the night and TBS Superstation would show old episodes of Chips at around 2 or 3 in the morning. I started even taping epsiodes so that I could watch them in the middle of the evening instead.
The real draw for this show is that it shows vistas of Los Angeles in a time when there was no or almost no smog and really highlights a time of excitement and laid back freedom that the 70′s have always signified to me. The only trouble is there was no internet, no blogs and I was only a kid back then
