Voting hours for the Canadian election January 23rd

I remember when I was living in BC and the voting ended at 8:00 in every time zone and back then there was no internet to let us know the results. Every time it seemed I would turn on the TV at 8:00 and Lloyd Robertson would tell me that one party or another already had a majority. AND MY VOTE WASN’T COUNTED YET.
