Fat Loss For Idiots - Will It Help You Lose Weight?

fat loss for idiotsFat Loss for Idiots is a site and diet that my wife had learned about from her stepmom. Initially I looked at the Fat Loss For Idiots website and saw that after clicking though a bunch of pages of information I found that the program was only $39.

As a fitness and health enthusiast I know that there are no easy ways out of losing weight so when I first saw all of the hype around fat loss for idiots I was of course initially skeptical.

I have scoured the internet looking for more information on the Fat Loss For Idiots program and would like to present this to you here so that you can make an informed decision when you visit the Fat Loss For Idiots site.

Lose Weight Fast with Fat Loss 4 Idiots?

Fat Loss for Idiots claims you can lose 9 pounds lost in 11 days. Wow, is this possible? You probably have your doubts but I know because I have seen it happen, with the right diet and exercise program you can lose weight and lose it quickly.

I would suspect with a good plan and some exercise that you should be able to lose 4 pounds per week or more.

After that quick weight loss it is important that you continue eating according to the plan and get some exercise of any kind and you will continue losing weight. The way the diet cycles means that you should lose weight every week with no bad weeks at all.

Fat Loss for Idiots Meal Plan

This is a great part of the fat loss for idiots program
fat loss for idiotsFat Loss for Idiots food is made up of lean proteins, fruit and vegetables, and the sources of fat come from whole foods (such as cottage cheese or eggs). There are some starchy carbohydrates (such as oats and pasta). The day is divided into 4 meals that should be eaten at a maximum of 2 1/2 hours apart. There is no calorie or carb counting, no limit on portion size - Fat Loss 4 Idiots says you “just eat short of being full”.

After the 11 day meal plan there is a 3 day “cheat” - where you get to eat whatever you want. Then you are back into the 11 day plan again.

The real difference between the fat loss for idiots plan and other plans is that the diet is purposely confusing your body so it never thinks it is starving. This is not a new meal program in that regard. Body for Life and other programs have long advocated confusing your body by having a day or more off of the diet so that you are in more control of how you eat. Fat Loss for Idiots does a good balance of this.

The meal plan is created by selecting from a list of preferred foods. These are then used to generate your meal plan.

Fat Loss for Idiots also includes a very extensive handbook that teaches you how to to eat, how not to eat and what is important in your goal of losing weight.

Exercise on Fat Loss 4 Idiots

Fat loss for idiots is a diet program. One thing and one thing only. The people that come up with the meal plans look at you as a user of the service as a person that is mainly sedentary.

Fat Loss for idiots recommends that you do get some exercise for additional weight loss. They encourage walking and other low intensity exercise of 30 minutes a day.

Fat Loss for Idiots - Is a Cheap Diet Program

fat loss for idiotsFat Loss For Idiots is a cheap diet. When you buy the diet is gives you access to an online diet generator as well as a diet workbook. Nutritionally it is a reduced carb diet that cycles macro-nutrient ratios (to try and trick your metabolism). It recommends common-sense weight loss principles (brisk walking, plenty of water, etc), and contains only whole foods (no processed foods, high-sugar foods, or supplements).

Here are some good reviews for the fat loss for idiots program:

“I started this diet 3 days ago, and have lost 2 and a half pounds so far.”

“I have now been on this diet for 11 days and have lost 6 and a half pounds. I am very happy with that, especially since I have not exercised or done the recommended walking.”

“On Fat loss for idiots I lost 7 pounds the first 11 days! I’m happy with that considering (like I mentioned) I had not done the suggested walking.”

The really nice thing about the fat loss for idiots diet is that it is cheap, and you buy your own food. No need to buy prepackaged food and expensive supplements which is the downfall that I always find with the more famous diets.

Fat Loss 4 Idiots - Will Work For Most People

There are a few things that seem to be really good in the fat loss for idiots diet and plan. Firstly the cheap nature means that you do not have to buy and create a complex meal plan. Secondly there is a cycling of your diet so that you keep your metabolism from working against you. And thirdly the diet is incredibly popular on the internet and the reason for that is that it seems to work for just about anyone.

Lastly there is a guarantee that this will work or you get your money back. I do not see any way that anyone can lose by at least trying Fat Loss 4 Idiots.

Who shouldn’t do Fat Loss for Idiots?

I have not been critical at all about Fat Loss for Idiots but I have to admit that there are some drawbacks to the diet.

If you exercise a lot Fat Loss for Idiots may not be for you. The diet itself is a diet designed to help you lose weight but people that get a lot of exercise, and hour or more a day, may find that the diet does not offer enough calories.

The diet itself can get a bit boring. There is a lot of repetition in the menu plan but most people seem to be OK with this as this is supposed to be a diet that helps you lose the weight that you want and then you ease off to a diet that you can live with for life.

I Really Recommend Fat Loss for Idiots

There is no magic behind Fat Loss for Idiots but really what it is a good focused meal plan and sensible exercise for beginners. Although this may not seem like much it is very important in my mind to be doing something that will give you the satisfaction that you are making the changes in YOUR life that will help you lose weight. This diet will work for you.

I am a big fan of Fat loss for idiots for no other reason than it is nice and simple, and it really does work, if you follow a diet that changes what you eat and moves you in a better direction nutritionally than what you are now.

And the simple fact is that at $39 fat loss 4 idiots is much cheaper than even a couple of weeks of Jenny Craig or Weight Watchers.

One month from today, if you commit now, you can be 10-20 pounds lighter. Otherwise, in a month, if you do nothing you will be the same weight or even slightly more than you are today. The choice is yours.

    1. Lesley Thompson says:

I am now on my 3rd 11 day cycle and have lost a total of 11lbs, I have to say the first 11 days I lost 7lbs and felt great then I had my 3 days off and put on 3lbs which I thought was reasonable. After my 2nd cycle I lost 8 pounds which again I thought was great however I put back on 7lbs on my 3 days off which I’m sure isn’t healthy!!!!! I am trying it again and have so far lost 7lbs (I am in my 7th day), I am planning to be more careful in my break and see what happens. I am actually beginning to find the foods a little repetitive and I might never want to look at sausages again but we will see. It has made one thing obvious to me and that is the fact that carbohydrates really do affect my weight, also I haven’t been exercising at all which I am definately going to have to do.

      COMMENT:
I am just starting todoy with FL4I and I feel great
      -–

    2. I did this diet about a year and a half ago and lost 25 lbs on it!!! well now after a year of eating really crappy (a lot of fast food) I am back where i started so I am giving it another go and this time eating right after I lose it all again. Also just to let people know although it says that a brisk walk is good enough I would really reccomend 45min of good cardio instead I have done it both ways and I say 9+ lbs come off when I did the cardio as to 5-7lbs when I did the walking which isn’t bad either but if you want to quicker loss that’s how and BTW even the smallest of cheats during the 11 days will put a damper on your weight loss so TURN away from the pastries etc. it’s not worth it to eat them till your cheat days.

    3. This is a great diet. It works for me too. I also agree with Kristina, a brisk walk is alright but real cardio is better.

    4. I am thinking about doing this diet. I am concerned re the off days and gaining the weight back as it sounds like every other crash diet! Also, I need to loose 10 pounds which is the hardest to do. I would like to hear from someone who went on this diet with the same goal as mine, to loose 10 pounds.

    5. for diane brown…my husband and i started the program 10 days ago. he needed to lose 25 lbs and although i needed to lose a few more than 10 (15 to be exact) i thought i was close enough to your same goal to share my experience. i have found it to be very successful! i have lost 5 lbs in 10 days which i feel to be reasonable and healthy. hubby lost 9. im nervous about the 3 cheat days but feel confident i will not splurge too badly. i should reach my total goal by the end of the next 11 day cycle. TWO THUMBS UP!!!!

    6. My co-worker and his wife have been on this diet for a few months. “SHE” has been on it strickly. I believe she’s lost about 25 pounds since starting it in October.

The guy started it after she did. He was more leary of it working or not; but after seeing the results on his wife, he went for it. Now, he’s not on the diet, but he says that the diet brought him to a place where he’s naturally eating healthier than before. He’s done the exercise (heavy cardio) as opposed to just walking, and he’s lost about 20 pounds in a month and a half.

This has led my wife and I to try the diet. We’re only on our 2nd day right now (the fruit day). So far, so good. We have to go buy a scale, because we have no idea how much we weight (lol). I’ve been drinking a lot of water, and am looking forward to RESULTS baby.

    7. I have been on this diet since January and I have lost 30 pounds, and 4 sizes. I started at 172 and I am now at 142. I really feel that I could eat this way for the rest of my life. I feel better on the diet than on my 3 cheat days, of course you have to be sensible on the 3 cheat days, but this shouldn’t be a DIET it should be a way of life for you. My goal weight is 130. I figure for 5′1″ and 44 years old that is a good weight.

    8. I am interested in trying this diet but absolutely hate fish. Can anyone tell me if you have to eat much fish?

    9. Okay,,,, I’m going to try it! :) BEST OF luck to me!

    10. when on this diet do you only eat a single food at each meal?

    11. For Cheryl my daughter and I have been on this diet for a couple of days she hates fish and eggs and we are managing it just cuts down on variety a bit. I can’t tell you how much we lost since we want to wait a few more days.

    12. For Chris–The diet has changed some since the beginning. It seems that most reviews were saying you could only eat one item for each meal, but the diet generator gives you 2 or 3 options for each meal. You can eat one or all of the options. I’m on my 4th day and I’m doing great with it. The diet generator has you pick between 14 and 30 foods–2 columns (7-15 items in each column). You pick the things you like, so you should never have to eat something you don’t like. I’m not a big fan of oatmeal, but with so few carb choices, I’ll eat it anyway. I’ve lost a couple pounds so far and I’m feeling good.

    13. I am a strict vegetarian. Will this diet work for me?

      —————————————————-
I have been asked this before and no, sorry there is no vegetarian option for Fat Loss For Idiots

      Bill

    14. I’m a little weary because I can’t find a real review site… it seems that every review site connects back to the fat loss for idiots page. Is this a scam?

    15. Yes, I just stumbled on this site and am trying to find some objective peer reviews — this one sounds like billyboy gets a $$$ kick-back if he sells the diet …not convinced that it is not a total scam. Is there another, neutral review site that looks and compares your diet plan and product to others? That would be most helpful.

      Thanks!

    16. What about someone that is training for a running race like a marathon or half-marathon? Could this diet provide enough calories for someone that is extremely active?

      ——————————————————————————————–

No, this diet is setup for someone that is getting some exercise but not lots. I think that if you are training for a long running race and you are doing a lot of daily training then the amount of food that you need to take in every day is a lot higher then the Fat Loss for Idiots diet calls for.

      Bill

    17. I would like to know the same questions from Lauren and Marie? Why have you not answered them?

    18. Lindsey, Marie, and Lauren… I don’t know anything about Bill, or this site, but I do know that I am on day 3 of the diet and I have already lost 3 pounds! I don’t do well with diets normally, but seeing results so quickly will hopefully help me stick to it…but I am a little worried about the 3 “free” days…

    19. I have been on this diet for the last 10 days and I have lost a total of 5 pounds which I think is a healthy way to loose weight. Also, the 3 cheat days does not mean to gorge yourselves with the food that you have not eaten in the last 11 days. You should be more cautious about what you are eating now, so maybe you won’t gain to much back. I am looking forward to my next 11 days. Can’t wait to see the results!

    20. Well I was a skeptic myself. I also don’t know this Bill or anything. I found this site last Saturday th 12th as I was on the puter. I read alot of reviews before purchasing it. It’s not something I plan on staying on in the long run. But I definately needed a kickstart to get myself weened off of the large amount of simple carbs I was eating and this did it. So far I’m on day 5 (following the plan to a T) and I’ve lost 10lbs. I do realize that this is water, but it’s making me feel better and truly helping with my carb cravings. After the 11th day I’m going to continue to eat healthier and go from there. This was the jumpstart I needed.

    21. There is a vegetarian diet with this. Just look on top at the left side of the Diet Generator and there is an option for Vegetarians that my granddaughter is using.

    22. Good to see that there is now a fat loss for idiots option for vegetarians. I get a lot of questions about this.

The trouble that most vegetarians find with any diet is that the creators of diets are not sure how to get much protein from veggies.

Did you know that lettuce gets 34% of its calories from protein, and broccoli gets 45% of its calories from protein. Spinach is 49%. Cauliflower is 40%. Celery is 21%. Beans range from 23% to 54% depending on the variety. Grains are 8% to 31%. Nuts and seeds are 8% to 21%.

Shouldn’t be hard for Fat loss for idiots to have a vegitarian option but i am glad to see one there

    23. Sounds like everyone is doing awesome. One of my favorite online programs is Fat Loss 4 Idiots. Keep up the good work. Natalie

    24. Sorry guys for the long time to answer here.

Yes, I do get a kickback from the Fat Loss For Idiots people for anyone that buys the diet through my links.

My aim in this review was to make sure that anyone that is interested in Fat Loss for Idiots is going to have trust in me and my blog long after they have bought the diet. I feel that if I support a crappy diet no one has any reason to read this blog or trust me ever, so I am very careful in the products that I promote

To build this trust I have tried to really lay out exactly what this diet is and if there is any question as to whether the diet is any good or not I have to say that many people have bought the diet and even with the 60 day refund policy only two people have asked for the refund.

Also the comments here seem to bear out that the diet really does work. I know that there is a lot of skeptics out there, especially when you look at the crappy layout of the website but a cycled diet seems to be a great idea that no one is too used to using.

One last thing, I am offering the bonuses to try and offset any cost of this diet to people and if anyone can think of anything else that I can offer please let me know.

Hope you all continue with Fat loss for idiots and please keep leaving comments

      Bill

    25. Does anybody know who the creators are of Fat Loss 4 Idiots? This is impossible to find. Credibility is important.

    26. Bill Nad says:

Actually I am not really sure of the names of the creators…I will do my best to find out.

    27. I have been on the “fat loss 4 idiots” diet since mid January and have lost 35 pounds so far. I was desperate, my bloodpressure was going up and my doctor told me to loose weight. Every effort failed, but then I found this program. I lost 9 pounds in the first 11 days but gained 4 pounds back the first cheat days. I continued with the program and my weight keeps coming down slowly but steady. Some times I get stuck and loose very little, but it still works. I still have a long way to go but my doctor is happy with my now normal bloodpressure. My sister had joined this program shortly after I did and she too has lost over 30 pounds.

    28. Candice says:

The weight gain on the days off worries me. Can someone tell me are you straying far off the diet on these days or sticking relatively close but still gain? If you gain weight in 3 days, how are you supposed to keep it off after you reach your goal? Does this mean you continue the cycle of 11 on, 3 off for life?

    29. The first 9 pounds I lost were mostly water, what I gained back was water also. Within a couple of days on the diet, the pounds I gained back were gone again. On the days off, you don’t necessarely gain weight back, depending on what you eat. If you stick with the rules: eat 4 small meals per day; eat only enough to feel comfortably full, but leave some room and don’t forget to walk every day; then you don’t gain any weight back. The 3 cheatdays give you the opportunety to practice eating so you don’t gain any weight back when you are finished loosing weight.

    31. I had all the same questions and then read some favorable reviews, so started the diet. I am on day 6 and have lost 5 pounds so far. I had baked cookies and tasted and ate one cookie–well, it slowed me down and I will not do that again. I went back today to try to download the book “Beyond the Diet” but it has to be ordered the first time you buy. it comes with the diet handbook, but not the generator (I think) amd costs around $55.00.So new buyer’s, please read everything on the starter page–don’t be in a hurry. I am wondering, Bill, if you have that part of the diet? The Beyond section.

    32. How do I get back into the Generator?

    33. Hi there, I just ordered the program, seems to be pretty do-able.

I will be starting this on Thursday. I will check in to track my results.

Is there a website for users? Would be great to talk with others doing this.

      Kim

    34. Bill Nad says:

To get to the diet generator again just follow this link http://www.fatloss4idiots.com/22msa.php

If anyone else is having trouble remembering where to go then just click on the link and bookmark it. All you need to get to the diet generator is the month that you signed up and then use your username and password that you created to log in.

    35. I found a few reviews on a couple of websites, and can post links to them if you guys require… From what I’ve seen, they are generally critical of it, but that seems to be based entirely on a lack of a customer service, and a lack of scientific reasoning, statistics or customer feedback on the website.

I’m thinking about giving this a go though… The main thing is its cheap and I think I need to start doing something, cos I’ve been going to for too long now.

But I want to know what the whole thing about “losing water weight” is about? A few of you guys talked about it, and I wouldn’t mind knowing more…

I also wanted to ask about some of your starting weights? I’m 5′11″ and weigh about 230lbs

    36. Bill Nad says:

Hey Kim, Good luck with the diet. Post back your results and hopefully we can all help and learn together

    37. I just read a few of those reviews I mentioned, and all the negatives seemed to be from people who think its not worth trying…

Thats just silly. I’d try something before I said bad things about it…

    38. My question is do you have to do the fruit day in order for this diet to work?

    39. Bill Nad says:

I really think that you should follow the Fat loss for idiots diet to the letter, at least for the first while so that you can get used to the changed ways of eating. This also stops anyone from breaking into older convenient habits

    40. They say they will give you a refund within 60 days, but who do you contact to get this refund? There are no contact numbers or emails on the site.

    41. Hair-less says:

Bin on the program for several month, lost over 35 pounds. Now my hair is thinning. This apparently is normal on crash diets, and large amounts of weight loss. Has any one else got this problem? Would any one know what to do about it other than getting a wig?

    42. Bill Nad says:

Wow, I would not ever want to call the Fat Loss for Idiots diet a crash diet. A crash diet can cause health problems including losing your hair but what this diet does is increase your metabolism while still reducing calories.

I would definitely talk to your doctor about your hair loss, this is a sign of some kind of underlying problem I would guess.

Good to hear though about the weight loss success

    43. Hair-less says:

Thanks for the reply, Bill. I just had a checkup at my doctor 1 1/2 month ago and had my Thyroid checked. Nothing wrong with me.
I checked the internet for reasons on hairloss and it said that fast weight loss, like the kind experienced on crash diets, can cause hairloss.
I think I will go off the program for a little while and try out the maintenance program. Then I will go back on for more weight loss. Maybe my body needs a break.

    44. hi there,

i have been reading a lot on this diet and i am really interested to try it as the feedback appears to be very positive.

i wondered if someone could let me know what kinds of meals/foods are eaten each day as i have some allergies and i am vegetarian too.

      feedback would be much appreciated,

      jen x

    45. Bill Nad says:

There is a vegetarian option for sure and as for the allergies, you give the online planner your favorite foods and it creates a diet for you so if there is something on there that you are allergic to then you can just let them know and try it again.

Remember if it really does not work out you can just get a refund.

    46. I took a lot of time and looked at this diet program and read everything I could find on it. I decided to try it. I have been on it for 5 days now and I have lost 4 pounds. I am loving the results and I am looking foward to more weight loss. I need to lose a good bit of weight. I hope to be able to use this program to lose it all then continue to eat healthy and exercise afterwords. So best of luck to everyone else. I hope you get the results you are looking for!

    47. Hi, I’m debating going on this diet. Has anyone who has done this diet tried the Cabbage Soup Diet? I’d like to hear some comparisons if so =)

I lost 9 pounds on the cabbage soup diet. That was a few months ago. I need to lose about 25 pounds and I need a good kick start (I got really discouraged when weight loss is slow and end up giving up). But I’m not sure if I want another week of cabbage soup again-one week was hard enough! Then again, its only for a week….

For those of you who have done this, do you gain the weight back? Also, for those of you who worked out while doing it, how much did you lose?

    48. To Sommer:
I tried the cabbage soup diet many times. I used it to get my colesterol level down. But the weight came always back on since the diet does not come with a maintenance program. I got also sick and tired of cabbage soup.
The Fat loss 4 idiots diet is a lot easier to follow because you get to pick the foods you like. The only day I hate is the vegetables-only day. Then I feel like the way I did on the cabbage soup diet, but when you follow this program, you get one vegetables-only day only once every 14 days. That is not too bad. You can practice maintaining your weight on the 3 cheatdays.

    49. I have been following the Beyond Calories diet plan for about 4 cycles now and I have to say this is one of the easiest plans I have ever tried. No calorie counting, no carb/fat/protien counting, just simple menu planning! I bought the Fat Loss for Idiots Guide and the Beyond Calories bonus. I tried both and found that the Beyond Calories was better for me. As a very active person, I found that the 6-meal-a-day plan provided in the BC program was a bit better for me because I am able to eat more often and never feel hungry. I also find I have a lot more energy, something rare in dieting! Overall I have lost a total of 15 pounds, and this is with about a month off of my diet due to surgery.

I highly recommend the BC diet. Although it takes a bit more time, I like the fact that you can plan your own meals rather than having them dictated to you as in the FL4I plan. There is a huge range of food choices to select from and the calories are still being switched around so your metabolism is always revved up! Some days are high “carb” days (more fruit/veg meals), some are high protein days, and some are mixed. There are NEVER only fruit/veg days, you always get to have some protein.

Bottom line, if you’re going to buy the FL4I guide, I also recommend upgrading to the BC subscription too. Try them both and see which one works the best for you!

    50. I am a vegetarian. do you have recipes for vegetarians in this diet.

    51. Bill Nad says:

Yes there is an option for a vegetarian diet in fat loss for idiots. Wneh choosing your weekly diet plan you just have to check the box that says vegetarian diet.

    52. Bill Nad says:

Jessica, that is noce to hear. I have always thought of the diet as being Fat Loss for Idiots and that the Beyond Calories was rally more of a system to uinderstand what you are doing.

Just knowing that the Beyond Calories add-on book is so good is great to hear. I find that probably about half of the people that buy Fat loss for idiots end up buying the add on Beyone Calories ebook along with their purchase

    53. I am on my second round of 11 days. I love this diet, there are days my calorie count is less than 1000 and I have no cravings or hunger pangs. I know if I were to me making the choices and had my calorie count that low; I would be starving. So far I have lost between 11-16#. The reason I don’t know the actual pounds is that I weighed myself the first evening after I started the diet and then the next morning and I had lost 5 pounds, so I’m not sure what my real start weight was.

    54. I’ve just started this diet 3 days ago and other that the fruit day (which was ok until dinner time!) it’s been great! I’ve played with the diet generator to generate a diet with food combinations I like. I’ll use them in coming weeks.
I’m gluten intollerant and have found I’m gaining so much weight steering clear of wheat. The gluten free options are always higher fat (although yummy)!!
I am happy to see this forum and equally happy to read the reviews! Diets are many and varying and you need to find the one that works for your! At $39.00 I only hope this one works for me!
      Happy dieting :)
      Marsha

    55. Hi Bill,

I have downloaded the menu as per my choices.
I am an Indian and the food pattern we eat is totally different.
Can you please help me with couple of my concerns?

Chicken – Normally chicken is prepared with all the spices and eaten along with Indian bread made of wheat.
Should I eat chicken made as said above along with Indian bread?

Can I substitute one meal of chicken with wheat bread and vegetable cooked in India style?

Chees: Can I have two piece of bread along with cheese.

Vegetable day: Can I substitute one meal with fruits instead of vegetable.

Eggs: Can hardboiled eggs be replaced with scrambled eggs and vice versa.

      Regards…….

    56. I am thinkin to start this program but I am really really doubtful.

    57. hi i read a lot about this diet and i am thinking of trying it, but the problem is that i think this diet will not fit me Cu’s it seem that this diet is for very high weight am i right? i am 5 kilo over the normal weight do u think it will work with me?

    58. Well the weekend is over and it’s day 6! All’s well! I am following the diet to the letter and am quite enjoying it! I read questions about substitutions and as a person on the diet I say if you are unable to follow it, save your money and try another diet that suits your lifestyle better. Like the old addage goes “If you sorta follow a diet, it will sorta work”!
      Cheers
      M

    59. Bill Nad says:

Hi Vikram, great questions. I am concerned though that you are trying to mess a little with the diet right from the outset. The idea of substitutions is fine after you have some expereince with the diet but probably not before you know how it will affect you. You would like to understand how your body feels on the diet so that later on you know if you are eating someting a bit different that you can feel what is going well and what is not feeling right.

As for the spices, spices should not be a problem at all, in fact many people say that spicy food will help to increace your metabolism so this can be something very good. If there is cream or yogurt added though then this is a different story as these will add extra calories that you are not supposed to be taking in during those meals.

I am not sure about exchanging fruits instead of vegetables but again you should try to stay strict to what the diet tells you to eat.

I myself see nothing wrong with hard boiled eggs instead of scrambled eggs, am I right here or does anyone know that I may be steering Vikram the wrong way with this.

Anyway Vikram, good luck with Fat Loss for Idiots it is a great diet as you can see from the rest of the comments here.

    60. Hello!! I am wanting to lose at least 15 pounds, 20 would be wonderful. I too am a little hesitate to purchase this program. As I understand, it is much easier for ppl who are overweight, being they want to lose like 50 lbs., to lose weight pretty quick once starting a diet of any kind. It is much harder for one who only wants to lose between 10-20 lbs. I guess my question are:
Is it really doable to lose 15 lbs on this diet?
Are there forums after you purchase the program for support?
How can I be sure there will be foods I even like after purchase?
If weight is lost how do you maintain? Do you repeat this diet over and over and over again?

      Thanks so much :D

    61. Bill Nad says:

Actually the way the site and diet work is that there is a diet planner that you log into and then put in your favorite foods (be reasonable) and it spits out a diet for you that you follow for the week and a bit and then you do the same thing the next week.

If the diet does not work out for you, and it should, then you can get your money back within 60 days. And yes you can use it to lose 15 pounds. If you feel like you are fairly close to your goal weight then how are your diet and exercise? Are you eating well and getting exercise everyday? This can make all the difference in the world.

    62. Thanks Bill for the quick reply! There is not really a diet I follow at the moment, I eat 3 meals a day and maybe have a snack in between. I have been exercising 3-4 times a week. I am going to try it and I guess if it does not work I will use the money back. Still curious though…do you keep using this diet until you reach your goal? And after you lose your goal weight, what then? Thanks!

    63. Kenrolli UK says:

I just wanted to know what drinks you can have on the Generator diet as it doesn’t mention tea, which is a favourite here in the UK but not so popular in the US, also is alcohol allowed at all as I notice on the slower diet it’s allowable to have a glass of wine with the meal. Thanks for any info you can supply and am looking forward to starting my diet tomorrow.

    64. Kenrolli UK says:

Hi Bill I also want to know what I can substitute for frozen yoghurt as I cannot find it anywhere in South Wales, cheers, Ken.

    65. Gingerpippa UK says:

      Hi there,
I share the same issue with Kenrolli: may I freeze normal yogurth and pretending it is the genuine frozen yogurt?
      Cheers, Ginger

    66. Kenrolli UK says:

Message for Gingerpippa I have found some frozen yoghurt in Tesco’s where I live so maybe you could look in your local store as I have found out that it’s only a recent development here in the UK and most suppliers only do catering size packs, hope this helps, Ken.

    67. Re: exchanging scrambled Eeggs with boiled eggs. - When preparing scrambled eggs a little fat ist added which would bring the calories count higher.

    68. Kenrolli UK says:

Re: Heidi’s message I have replaced boiled eggs with scrambled eggs for some of the time and I cook them in a non-stick pan and in doing so removes the need for any fat or butter to be used so no need to worry about the extra calories!

    69. Ex-dieter says:

      Hi,

I have a quesiton. I’m not sure of the exact date - it was either in the Spring of 2004 or 2005??? that I went on this diet. It worked great for me. I lost just under 25 lbs. but, I have to admit that the choices were very limited, and it did become a bit boring. Maybe things have changed since then -

Anyway, I am now wanting to lose some weight, and would very much like to use it again. I tried to go back to the sign-in page, and use my old user name and password, but it is no longer working. Do I have to re-purchase this?

Another thing I am wondering about is that I am now living in a very remote area, and some of the things I remember from the diet ( cottage cheese, pastrami, yogurt etc. ) are not available here - I do not eat fish (I remember tuna was on it) or eggs. Have the choices expanded?

Would really like to give this another try. The weight loss was amazing.

      Thanks

    70. I am thinking about starting the plan, however you get 4 meals a day and they are space about 2-2.5hours apart. Is there enough food intake to keep you satisfied in the evening? I find that I am fine throughout the day but I snack a lot after 7pm. Any advice.

    71. ex-dieter says:

As I said, this diet worked very well for me. When I used it several years ago I was never hungry. I was eating breakfast, lunch, an afternoon snack, and then dinner around 6:30 - 7:00pm.

If I remember correctly, the meals needed to be a minimum of 2 - 2 1/2 hours apart, but didn’t have to be that close. At the time I was working as a high school teacher and had a tight work schedule that I had to work around. I was eating about 6:30 in the morning, lunch about 11:30, then a snack about 2:30 - 3 pm, and dinner around 6:30 - 7. So unless the plan has changed radically - which from what I have been reading, doesn’t appear to have happened, you can even go 4 hours between meals. Guess you would just have to give it a try - maybe start later in the morning so that your last meal was later at night.

I lost just under 25lbs in just under three months. This really does work.

    72. ex-dieter says:

No, that’s wrong - I lost a 25 lbs in about a month and a half using this diet- I was dieting for about a month and a half without much luck before I tried this. (basically just starving myself) There was a “biggest loser” contest among the teachers at work, & I stumbled upon this diet just about 5 - 6 weeks before it ended. Once I started this plan the weight just started melting off - I didn’t win, but did come in 2nd.

    73. Kenrolli UK says:

Message for ex-dieter, this diet hasn’t changed as much as you hoped and it’s sounds as if it’s the same lists of food that were used previously! I myself am on day 8 of my first 11 day diet and have lost 7 pounds so far which I think is pretty amazing. This is my first diet and I have found some days boring but what the hell it’s not forever! I haven’t felt hungry at all just different and am now eating plenty of fruit and drinking lots of water although I do have ONE glass of wine in the evening which I think is fair as I used to drink a bottle a night. I really am a very sceptical man so this has surpased all my worries and is well worth the cost! Good luck, Ken.

    74. Can someone post a sample day’s menu? I’d really like a sense of what you might be eating in a day and how much of it before committing to buying the plan.

    75. Here is one sample day eating. Try not to analyze this too much. There are a lot of food choices that you can end up with.

Meal 1: Banana milk shake or Oatmeal
Meal 2: Tuna salad or fruit salad
Meal 3: Fish Fillet or a sandwich of your choice
Meal 4: Cottage cheese or scrambled eggs meal

But remember that you choose what you want to eat on the Fat Loss for Idiots diet. The diet generator chooses your diet based on what you like to eat.

    76. On 13 may 2008 RACH asked a very good question and it has gone completely IGNORED!! She wanted to know whom and how we would contact said person in regards to the refund offered if we were not satisfied with the program for some reason?

She’s right!! There are no numbers on the website or anywhere on the internet that I could GOOGLE. Perhaps I didn’t enter the exact wording that would take me to these contact numbers… who knows. I do feel that the site should have these numbers available on the site listed just as clearly as the certificate that describes the refund itself! I mean, ANYONE can offer you your money back and SURE it sounds great that they would do that, but what good is the offer of a refund if they fail to also give you a means to be able to contact anyone to obtain it!! I’m not saying that I feel the creators of this program are scamming anyone, but it does seem a bit odd that they would omit such an important detail as a contact number. Hey… even an e-mail address to someone in customer service that could grant the refund would be great, but there is nothing!

I would also like to know the information that she asked about, so if anyone could share this information with those of us that may eventually like to request the refund they promised … it would be greatly appreciated!! Thank You.

BTW: For those of you that are having success with this program … CONGRADULATIONS!!!! I am very proud of all of you for meeting your weight loss goals!! Keep up the excellent work and may you always be blessed with success in all that you do! Thanks again everyone!! :^D

    77. Kenrolli UK says:

In reply to Liz’s request yesterday may I suggest that you could always contact the person that you bought this diet from (if you’ve kept the original e-mail reply to your purchase) but to be absolutely honest I don’t think that you’ll ever need to ask for a reply as I myself can only say that this diet works for me. If you keep exactly to the diet plan it will work for you to as I have also recommended this to a lot of my friends as I am so pleased with it. Just try and see what it can do for you and if it doesn’t work you could always contact Bill at the address on the top of this page he will always reply to your mail! Good luck, Kenrolli..

    78. I have just started the diet, two quick questions
1.I did not buy Beyond Calories option, can I get this seperately?
      2. can i susbstitue things in same food group, eg mixed salad instead of apricots?

      Thanks

    79. There was a link to get a refund, yes if the Fat loss for idiots is not working for you or you decide you hate it then for sure get a refund, you are entitled…I will find the link again and post it here.

Sorry guys I have been out of town for a couple of days with not great internet and hanging around airports too much

    81. Hey I forgot to mention here that I have started a messageboard so that we can all discuss the Fat Loss For Idiots diet and what works for you or just to get feedback from other people that are on the diet. Just go over here:

      http://forum.fitnesstipsforlife.com

And sign up and you can post immediately. I see now that there are 80 comments in this post which is a bit to go through, whew, so we can all meet there if it will be easier

    82. On the diet generator, can you input some different food choices in a week or two so you can vary the foods and not get so bored?

    83. Yes Ken, the idea of the diet generator is to have you help it come up with food combinations that you will like.
