A beautiful weekend in Calgary

It was absolutely beautiful in Calgary this weekend, we spent alot of the weekend outdoors. Saturday Taylor & I had a Mother / Daughter morning, we went to see Madacasgar, we only stayed about 45 mins - 1 hr, it wasn't all that good, to much dialogue in my eyes for little children & the humour really wasn't for young kids, I even fell asleep for a bit! Than we came home & the kids played in the backyard all afternoon in the pool with our next door neighbors. Than after dinner we went for a nice walk & than watched In Good Company, it was OK.
Sunday we got up & went to Okotoks (Sheeps River) just South of Calgary, it's about 45 mins from our house & we hung out by the river, splish splashing & soaking up some rays, Taylor loved it, she was using her mask to see under the water & she was floating down the river on her dinosaur. Jaiden loves when he has a bath but I don't think he set foot in the pool & only barely put he's feet in the river! After dinner we went for another nice walk & than watched Sideways...not that great of a movie in my eyes...Billy seemed to like it. Billy also decided to try & rip off his finger nail trying to clean the screen door, still not sure how he did it...it looks disgusting, part of the nail is "popping out."

No Michelle, you are the greatest

Oh hush, you are the sweetest Michelle...I Love You!

Anyway Jaiden is finally not sick it seems after a three week cold. Taylor is going on a school bus tommorow for the first time going to the Zoo with her preschool class, and tonight we have an orientation for kindergarten.

We are planning a trip now to Vancouver although Taylor still wants to go to Disneyland. It will be nice to go to the Coast and see how things look. I have not spent much time in Vancouver since we left and we are planning to stay at least a couple days in the big city as well as time with Michelle's dad and Katy.

I am not sure if anyone goes back to this weblog often because this will all be news to most people. I came home from work yesterday and Michelle was looking up things to do in LA and then got scared of the cost and we decided to instead go to Vancouver so no one, even the family does not know about our travelling plans!

May Long Weekend

...and nowhere to go! Billy is on pager, I have a workshop tonight and Weight Watchers tomorrow, not to mention that Taylor has joined Jaiden & I in the fight against the common cold, not so common anywhere when a cold can last upwards of 3 weeks & longer, what the hell?

Oh well, we will have to get out & enjoy the wonderful weather this weekend...what a change, I think according to stats it usually snows!

An Awesome Husband!

I just wanted to say that my hubby is the greatest hubby around...not sure if he realizes this. He is a great father to our children, coming home from work, getting off his bike & immediately playing with them, taking them to the park & just plain 'ol getting them out of my hair! I love him for that. He never squawks when I say: I'm going to go out for a while or I'm going away for the weekend to scrapbook...he encourages me.

He is so full of ambition (to much sometimes!) and drive, how could you not respect him for that. I could go on & on but I don't want to bore everyone that checks out this weblog!

I just wanted to say I love you Cutey! Have a great day! :}

Home is still Home

We planned on taking a holiday this Summer but with all of the busy work that Michelle and I are doing we have not been able to nail down a time yet. I am sure this summer will be like past summers where we make a decision one day to go on holidays the next day.

I am still not sure what we are going to do. I had hoped to take Taylor fishing, it is the 50th birthday for Disneyland and of course Abbotsford is always beckoning with Taylor wanting to see Nana and Papa. Jaiden of course does not care but is really excited to see me get home from work so that's nice.

Taylor has really got started riding on her bike. Last Friday I took off the training wheels and she would only ride when I held her, now she is riding by herself as long as I push the bike to get it started. Jaiden is pushing himself along on the trike and just like any little boy he doesn't listen to me and the next thing I know he is down the road of our little townhouse complex and does not care at all that I am calling him to come back.

The kids don't want to sleep

Taylor and Jaiden are not adjusting to Spring very well. They do not want to go to sleep until late because they think they have a couple hours after the sun goes down.

Last night Taylor went to sleep at 10:10 after getting bored with an Area 51 show on TLC. Jaiden on the other hand did not get interested at all and stayed up jumping around, the cuteness wore off be 10:30. We went to bed at 11:15 after Michelle got home from her Stampin' Up! meeting and I think Jaiden was still awake after I fell asleep.

I know I was up before him this morning and for Michelle's sake I hope both the kids slept in.
