Merry Christmas

Well this morning Taylor had us up at 6:15 to see what Santa brought. Both Taylor and Jaiden are really excited and this is the third medium that I get to pinpoint how and what Christmas is in 2005 in the Nadraszky household.

Taylor got a Barbie bike from Santa just like she asked for and Jaiden got lots of cars and other toys. After hanging out playing mini Perfection we got ready and went to my parents house. Breakfast for all turned into breakfast for the adults as the kids were wired as well as too excited about opening the giant pile of presents under the grandparents tree. Over an hour of wild paper ripping and screaming was caught on video and the kids as usual were more excited about each others gifts then their own. After my parents house we went to Michelles Moms house, more presents and more excitement. Taylor was very excited about the Polly Pocket Ski lodge and immediately had me put it together and check it out. This was one of the more exciting presents of the day besides the bike and Furby which we can't pry out of her hands or really understand the language, Furbish, that it speaks.

Now that presents were over for the day we went to Mike and Brenda-Lee Kearney's house for a really nice dinner as well as beer, both Budweiser and homemade, and Rye and Coke. After playing XBOX and having dinner it was time to drag our tired selves home and now Taylor has drifted off, Jaiden is hopefully not far behind and Michelle and I, now that we have finished putting the stuff away are ready for a bit of an early bedtime as well.

Christmas this year has been again great and every year is always more exciting than the last as the kids get older and more fund to play with.

Knifty Knitter

Yesterday Michelle was at Michael's and she got me a Knifty Knitter. I keep mentioning to her how I want to make scarves and touques and now I guess it is time to put up or shut up. Last night we watched Dukes of Hazzard and I started making a touque, I have got about 7 or 8 rows done so I don't think this is going to be a quick process.

Maybe I can make everyone a scarf in time for NEXT winter!

Jaiden up early

Jaiden seems to be going through some kind of bad sleeping phase lately. Michelle & I were woken up by him at 5:00 this morning and he was up for a while so I came to work early. The trouble is he seems to be waking up a lot at night these days and is drinking lots of milk during the night. Maybe he is growing but all I know is that I am getting tired in the process.

Michelle and I are going to the WestJet christmas party tomorrow night. I had to twist Michelle's arm but I think she is now looking forward to it. Michelle tonight goes for a manicure, pedicure, facial and tomorrow morning gets a haircut. Tomorrow I go for eyebrow waxing and get my haircut in the afternoon.

Beer in Bottles, and other family stuff

Well a couple of days ago I finally got the beer into the bottles. Two more weeks and I will have some delicious home made beer to keep me self medicated over the holidays. Barry at work helped out by giving me bottles and a great little bottle filler to use to fill the bottles easier.

In other household news, we bought a new digital camera on the weekend, we got the Kodak Z740 from Future shop for $349 which seemed to be a good price (later found it for $329, so we got more money back!) and although we have not taken too many pictures yet, the ones we are taking look great compared to our old 2 megapixel camera, although we took 11,000 pictures with that camera in 5 years so I guess we can't complain.

We are getting ready for Christmas now and even though it did not feel much like the holiday season last week the mercury dipped way way down this week and now it is -24 so I guess Calgary has fully embraced Winter. Last night I was out around town dropping off Stampin' Up! orders for Michelle and saw more Christmas lights than I have ever seen before. Looks like Calgary's big oil is really bringing out the Christmas spirit in everyone this year.
